THE RAILWAY INN IS BACK OPEN ON 4TH JULY.

After a long time of being closed, we cannot wait to welcome our regular and new customers back to the pub.

We’ve completed a comprehensive risk assessment in line with government guidelines.

Please see below information which will help us keep both our customers and staff safe.

PPE – our staff will be wearing face masks and will be washing their hands after contact with different tables.

Personal information – we’re required to take details of all customers visiting us so that in the event we have a positive case of someone who has visited us, track and trace can make contact with you. We appreciate it sounds like we’re going to be taking a school register but this is required by the government and therefore we must comply.

We’d like to reassure you that all personal details with be stored safely and securely in line with GDPR.

Entry to pub – There are hand sanitising units inside and outside of the pub for customer use and we encourage our customers to use them frequently especially on entering and exiting the building.

There is an “Entry and Exit door” please ensure you use the correct door.

Seating – We will not be taking any bookings at present. All tables will be on a first come, first served basis.

Outside – We’d encourage people to use our garden area as much as possible. Please follow signage for entrance to garden where a member of our staff will take your details, seat you and take your order.

Indoors – if you wish to sit indoors, please remember you must only sit with people within your household or one other household (bubble)

We have reduced the number of tables inside and out to support the social distancing guidelines.

Service – We will be doing waitress service only. Where possible please order in rounds and please be patient with us. We would also encourage card payments where possible to reduce the need of passing cash amongst people.

Toilets – We would request that customers sitting indoors, use the toilets available in the bar and anyone sitting in the garden use the restaurant ones by using the restaurant door opposite main road. Only one person is to use toilet at any time, if someone is using the toilet please queue outside of the toilet so you are not in a confined space.

Food – regrettably we are not going to be doing food again until week commencing 13 July this is to ensure we can concentrate on meeting the highest safety standards possible when we open on Saturday. Thai take aways will still be available for collection and free local delivery on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. We would ask that anyone ordering Thai for collection to not consume food on the premises at this present time.

Cleaning – we have a robust cleaning schedule in place.

This includes sanitation of any touch points throughout the building every hour.

Once customers leave a table, we will deep clean that table prior to next customers using it.

Children – if you have children accompany you to the pub, please ensure you take responsibility for them social distancing and refrain from allowing them to move from the table where you are seated.

We know this post may be an overload of information but we want to reassure you all that our staff and customers safety is paramount to us.

We do hope that when you visit us you have an enjoyable experience.

If you have any concerns or questions please do not hesitate in contacting us.

We look forward to serving you all soon!
